Forum Francophone du Pacifique

This year, Alliance Française Auckland again took part in the Forum Francophone du Pacifique in Noumea from 3 to 6 of November. Organised by the CREIPAC under the auspices of the Government of New Caledonia, this great rendez-vous of francophonie welcomed Alliances Françaises and Instituts Français from New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Fidji, and Vanuatu with Vietnam as a special guest of honor.

Other major contributors to the promotion of francophonie such as the New Zealand and Australian association of French teachers were also invited. This forum has various objectives. It is first of all the occasion for the participants to meet and discuss French language and topics pertaining to francophonie. These exchanges also allow guests to interact with famous New Caledonian writers, researchers from I.R.D. and to discover the local music and artistic scene that contribute to the international radiance of the island.

Organised around the idea of friendship, the Forum Francophone du Pacifique aims to strengthen the bonds between CREIPAC and the Alliance Française network as well as perpetuate actions of cooperation in the fields of language, culture and science."
