Show Me Shorts Film Festival

The 9th annual Show Me Shorts Film Festival has just opened in Auckland and will play in 20 cinemas across New Zealand until 23 November.

Short films from French-speaking countries appear in the following sessions: Time Travellers, Bromance, and the family-friendly My Generation. Alliance Française members are particularly recommended to check out this festival favourite: quaint Swiss/French animation Vigia (Lookout), where a grandfather narrates a story about why bees are so important.

Pick up a brochure with the full Show Me Shorts 2014 programme from cinemas, cafes and libraries, or visit www.showmeshorts.co.nz.

Alliance Française Auckland Committee Member Emma Blomkamp will be presenting the 'In the Neighbourhood' session at the Capitol cinema on Saturday 8 November at 8.30pm and the popular Short Film Talks in Auckland and Wellington.
