Venez découvrir ou redécouvrir les scènes les plus emblématiques du cinéma français, de son invention en 1895 à nos jours. A travers le réalisme poétique et la Nouvelle Vague, à l'aide de focus sur les principaux mouvements qui l’ont animé, nous découvrirons l’influence de plusieurs films cultes sur l’art et la société française. Ce volet culturel sera enrichi d’activités linguistiques de circonstance puisque nous nous essaierons aussi à l’écriture de dialogues, de critiques ou encore au doublage d’extraits dont nous aurons coupé le son ! En somme, une classe ludique, sans trop d’effets spéciaux mais au script plein d’émotions et de surprises à ne surtout pas manquer !
Come to discover or rediscover the most iconic scenes of French cinema, from its invention in 1895 until nowadays. Through focus on Poetic Realism and Nouvelle Vague, we will see the influence of some cult movies on art and French society. This cultural feature will be enriched with pedagogical activities as we dabble in writing dialogues, film reviews, or dubbing of extracts which volume will be turned off! In short, an amusing class without too many special effects but with a script rich in emotion and surprise. This is one Special Topic Class not to be missed!

Suitable for French levels A2 and above
From Picardie to Pyrenees, passing by Auvergne, Bourgogne, etc. this class will allow you to explore French regions and their culinary specialties. Our journey will include all kinds of activities to reinforce your French skills and it will be seasoned with workshops that will turn you into a real "Chef".
Please note an additional cost of $5/class ($45 total) has been added to the original course fees ($335) to cover the cost of food for each student.

While the forecasts are very open at the moment, we invite you to study the finale of this race for the highest office, and then witness the national and international reactions as well as the first steps of the new government. Through various sources (TV programmes, newspaper articles, radio interviews…), and focus on the candidates, voters, and our political system, you will better your knowledge of French society and feel its pulse! Vote for this class and grasp the opportunity to observe up close this major French political event.

This fun course is aimed at helping you become familiar with translation techniques from French to English and vice versa. Discover some of the fascinating differences between the structures of the two languages through various material taken from current print and audiovisual sources. Reinforce your comprehension of French and develop skills that will make you more confident in using idiomatic structures and phrases.
