Emilie Geant was born in France in 1980 and followed artistic studies in Lyon, France. She won an artistic prize at Les Tremplins de la Creation 2006(France) for her paintings, which encouraged her to explore other medias of expression such as travelogues and children's books.
In 2007, she embarked on a long trip to New Zealand. From this one year journey was born the French travelogue "La Terre du Long Nuage Blanc" Editions reflets d'Ailleurs (2010) which recounts on paper her life in New Zealand, her emotions and her encounter with Kiwi culture.
In 2012, she uses her experience and her interest in Maori culture, realizing the illustrations of a Maori tales book in French "Contes de Nouvelle-Zelande" collection Tam Tam Editions Reflets d'Ailleurs.
Since she met Jessica Dziwulska in Coromandel, New Zealand, she has been working on the children's book project The Answer, based on Jessica's story now available for purchase.
Since 2012, Emilie Geant lives in New Zealand, a country that inspires her decidedly and embarks her regularly on new artistic projects.
