Updated on : 12 August 2020

Chers élèves et chers membres de l’Alliance Française d’Auckland,

Back to lockdown : regarding the recent Covid-19 situation and the last Government announcement, the Alliance Française Auckland Office will remain closed from Wednesday 12 August 2020 from 12pm until further notice.

All activities including the French petit-déjeuner on Saturday morning are therefore canceled.

And from now on, your courses become distance classes with your teachers and at the same schedule as the on-site classes.

Your teachers will send you the link to Zoom, an easy-to-use video conference application available on desktop, tablet and mobile phones. Therefore, you will be able to communicate with your teacher and progress your learning in French while being at home in a safe environment.

For your writing skills, your teacher will keep using and liaising with you via Padlet to send you resources to use, exercises to do but also for a better communication between you and our team.

In order to be entirely ready and so your classes can stay as efficient as they usually are, you will need the following equipment:
- A computer, a tablet or a mobile with the application Zoom
- A good internet connexion
- A microphone
- A webcam

Our teachers are highly trained and already handled with distance classes during the first lockdown, so we can guarantee a comfortable learning for all our students as the quality of your courses will remain our priority.

Do not hesitate to contact us for any enquiry or further information about the situation, we really would like to stay connected with you during this difficult time.

Stay safe and see you back soon at the Alliance Française Auckland Office.

Cordialement,

The Board Members and the Alliance Française Auckland Team
