French Touch – Nz in concert – 17 January

The French Touch – Nz (Victor Billion & Etienne Bizjak) is a fresh duo from France and Belgium. They deliver pop songs covers and compositions on guitar and violin, in both French and in English, with great energy on stage. On Friday the 17th of January they will throw their last gig in the city, at the French Corner (formerly Pastis) before heading to Wellington.
The French Touch – NZfirst formed after a fortunate encounter in Auckland on the 20th September 2013, for what quicly became a successful artistic collaboration. Victor Billon and Etienne Bizjak are a unique, talented andenergetic duowho play original music as well as having a fresh take on pop music of today. They play a range of songs in both French and English.

Etienne Bizjak
is a gypsy jazz violinist from Belgium who has been living in Auckland for one and a half years. He has been playing with many musicians all around Auckland such as Edwina Thorne, Cousin Alice, Yulia Maclean, John Ellis and Peter Scott. He also has his owngypsyjazz band – ‘Fever Swing’ -with guitarist Michael Kovalov.

Victor Billon
is a French singer-songwriter who has been playing music for seven years, mainly with his former band in France, Bizbiz, apop-rockgroup from Montpellier. Victor came to New Zealand originally just to travel around and see the country, but soon after he met Etienne he quickly decided to change his plans.

They have produced alive albumof fourteen songs, four of which are original compositions and are in the process of composing more of their own material, with the goal of recording a studio album in May 2014.
