Virtual classes with Zoom
Regarding the Covid-19 situation and the Government decision to remain self-isolated, your courses became distance classes with
your teachers from
Wednesday 25 March 2020 until further notice.
Your teachers will send you the link to Zoom, an easy-to-use video conference application available on desktop, tablet and mobile phones. We recommend downloading the free Zoom software here for the best experience. Therefore, you will be able to communicate with your teacher and progress your learning in French while being at home in a safe environment.
For your writing skills, your teacher will keep using and liaising with you via Padlet to send you resources to use, exercises to do but also for a better communication between you and our team.
In order to be entirely ready and so your classes can stay as efficient as they are usually, you will need the following equipment:
- A computer, a tablet or a mobile with the application Zoom
- A good internet connexion
- A microphone
- A webcam
"The first class was really good. Alexandre was good at explaining all the technology and the class ran smoothly.
The breakout rooms are really effective. Happy that we can continue to have classes." Nathalie (A2.2)
"My son's virtual class (10-13 yo) was great thank you so much!" Anne
"I was really impressed - both by the level of preparation that went into readying distance classes - and the lesson itself.
Geraldine is an amazing teacher, whether in-person or online!" Ben (B1.7)
"Dans un monde qui semble avoir oublié comment traiter les gens, c'est une chose rare et belle de se sentir si bien entretenu
La touche personnelle m'impressionne toujours plus que toute autre chose.
Aussi les instructions de zoom étaient claires et faciles à utiliser et, comme d'habitude, Alex avait tout sous contrôle. Bravo mes amis."
