us for an evening dedicated to the discovery of Classical Ballet with former professional Ballet dancer Guyonn Auriau!
On the agenda - Guyonn will start by showing off some introductory movements to break the ice.
Enjoy a presentation on the History of Ballet & its connection to French language, an exploration of the Great Ballets of the Repertoire
(inspired by literature), and to close the evening : a look into the process of making pointe shoes, and a time for discussion !
More about Guyonn: Growing up on the countryside in France, Guyonn AURIAU graduated with honors from the
Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (France).She started her professional dance career with renowned dance
companies worldwide, performing in both classical Ballet (CCN Ballet de Lorraine, New York Theatre Ballet-Cecchetti based company,
Opéra-Théâtre de Metz, Grands Ballets Canadiens, Compagnie Kunal Ranchod) and more Contemporary institutions (Martha Graham Dance Company,
Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers, Sydney Dance Company PPY, Cas Public).
During her professional experience, Ms AURIAU had the opportunity to perform on international tours that have traversed Russia, China,
Turkey, USA, Europe.
Since 2018, alongside her dancing career, she has been sharing her knowledge with students, teaching ballet and modern dance in both
France and Canada. In her free time, she enjoys tutoring in French and English, and she often takes part of running races (semi and full
marathons).
