The Alliance Française Auckland (AFA) is an independent, not-for-profit language and cultural organisation promoting Franco-Kiwi exchange.

Established in 1896, we are part of the prestigious global network of Alliance Française organizations, committed to promoting the French language and culture worldwide and a part of a network with over 830 institutes and 500,000 students.

Our Mission: The mission of Alliance Française Auckland lies in the profound belief that cultural exchange is key to fostering understanding and bridging cultural gaps. 

Our History: AFA's journey began in 1896, and since then, we have tirelessly contributed to the cultural wealth of Auckland by offering an array of language courses, cultural events, and resources. We take pride in our enduring commitment to enhancing French-New Zealand relations through language and culture.
