network of not for profit associations
dedicated to sharing the French language and culture with all.

Alliance Française network comprises 814 associations in 134 countries. The number one French
language school in the world,
the Alliance Française has more than 560,000 students, 12,500 partners, 7,900 teachers and 6,100 volunteer administrators.
In New Zealand, the Alliance Française has been active for 120 years. There are now 9 centres which offer social as well as cultural
activities, with 7 of them (in Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Nelson, Palmerston North and Wellington) also providing French
language classes.
The Alliance Française maintains strong ties with its local communities and works closely with partners in business, government, and educational and cultural institutions.
