Every year on 21 June, France opens its streets, parks and stages to musicians of all types for one of the world's greatest musical celebrations. Alliance Française Auckland brings this spirit to Tāmaki Makaurau, opening the stage to local musicians, singers, DJs and performers for one vibrant evening of live music, creativity and community.
Hosted at 269 Parnell Road, this event celebrates Auckland's artistic scene in a warm, festive atmosphere inspired by the French Riviera, but deeply rooted in Aotearoa.

Yes! The event is open to all Auckland-based musicians, singers, DJs and performers. We welcome all levels of experience — from emerging artists to seasoned performers.
All genres! Jazz, rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, classical, world music, French chanson, folk — if you make music, there is a place for you on our stage.
This is a community celebration event in the spirit of Fête de la Musique — performances are voluntary. However, performers receive a featured artist profile on our website and social media, plus direct exposure to 269 Parnell Road for future paid opportunities.
Basic PA system, microphones and a monitor will be available. Please detail your specific technical needs in your application so we can prepare accordingly.
Absolutely — DJs are very welcome. Please specify your technical setup in the application (e.g. CDJs, mixer, laptop setup).
Bien sûr ! Performing in French is very much encouraged — it's the spirit of the event. English, te reo Māori, French or any other language — all are welcome.
